Program Evaluation

photo (16663 bytes)An outgrowth of our expertise in various subject areas has
been consulting in program evaluation. Sample projects
include:

  • In the area of education, we have performed studies in numerous areas such as student outcomes assessment, accreditation, national testing, and student financial aid and institutional aid. For more information on our Education Studies, click here.
  • In the area of information systems and data base development, Mathtech has supported Navy for over fifteen consecutive years. We analyze trends in resource planning by categorizing and integrating financial and military force level data. Mathtech maintains and loads assessment-related fields into the official Navy database displaying the Future Years Defense Program (FYDP).
  • In the area of military ownership and support cost data bases, we have provided evaluation of the accuracy and completeness of the Navy Visibility and Management of Operating and Support Costs (VAMOSC) program and Total Ownership Cost (TOC) efforts.
  • In the area of military logistics budgeting and funding, we supported Navy audit teams by monitoring budget requirements and budget justification narratives, as well as performing planned vs. actual obligations monitoring. Mathtech provided these budget formulation, execution, and monitoring tools and services to the Logistics Review Group office for over ten years.
  • In the area of Environmental Economics, Mathtech has supported the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency with applied analyses of the economic benefits and costs of environmental regulations. These efforts extend to a variety of regulatory support activities needed to meet statutory and administrative requirements.
  • In the area of government competitive sourcing, formerly called outsourcing, we have supported analyses that evaluated potential savings based on policy decisions and labor categorizations.
  • In the area of affordability and requirements analysis, we have estimated affordability of long-range military force structure plans, built models displaying funding requirements for mid-range information technology goals, and conducted reviews of ongoing budget execution plans.
