The AICS is a digital inter-communications system designed for airborne use in multi-place aircraft. This extremely small, lightweight system has been designed for performance, versatility, manufacturability, and supportability– and all at a cost far lower than any other comparable ICS in the marketplace today.

Developed for the U.S. Navy E-2C Hawkeye aircraft, the AICS is the perfect system for both new construction and retrofit applications.

AICS CrewComm

The CrewComm provides the operator with control and audio interface for radios. NAVAIDS, and the intercom network. Customized front panels with individual controls for each audio asset or multi-purpose switches for space-saving design are accommodated by firmware, without changing the basic circuitry of the AICS. Individual and master volume controls, VOX sensitivity control, binaural sound, and the ICS Select audio exclusion feature allow the operator to customize his own audio environment. This unit also provides the connection between all communications assets and the AICS data bus. MIL-STD 1553B interface is also provided by this unit. Each CrewComm unit has the capacity to provide connectivity for up to 4 transceivers or receive-only channels such as NAVAID warning tones.
