U.S. Government Systems Group
Since 1984, the U.S. Government Systems Group has worked with numerous client groups within the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). In that time, we've helped develop database systems for FAA that support:

  • Program management, life-cycle cost estimating, cost/benefit analyses and systems engineering services for major acquisition programs
  • Long-range planning and obligations planning
  • Budget formulation for all FAA appropriations
  • Performance measurement
  • All facets of budget execution

Mathtech also served as systems integrator for FAA's Resource Tracking Program, which supported over 3,000 users nationally in performing scheduling, workforce planning, budgeting and other program management functions.

Mathtech's value-added approach was evident recently in the development of an interface between the FAA's Financial Management System and the new DELPHI accounting system implemented by the Department of Transportation. With strong technical skills and in-depth understanding of FAA's business practices, systems and IT strategy, Mathtech successfully developed a solution that allows the systems to access and extract data from one another and to subsequently transmit that information to a data warehouse.

Mathtech also has applied extensive expertise in systems integration to develop numerous client applications using Oracle, Oracle Financials, Visual Basic, FoxPro, Visual FoxPro, Ramis, Focus and other products. Many of our engagements integrate data from mainframe and PC/LAN environments utilizing various operating systems, including VAX/VMS, TSO, Unix, Windows NT and Novell.

Defense Consulting Group
DCG has supported the Department of the Navy (DON) continuously for approximately 30 years, addressing diverse issues related to evaluating armed force deployment levels, resource acquisition planning, manpower, operations and logistical support.

Mathtech analyzes resource requirements, performance metrics and business process efficiencies for DON. We have developed numerous analytical support tools to meet our client's needs. Additional DON and other defense projects include:

  • The U.S. Navy and Coast Guard Ship and Aviation Resources-to-Readiness models, which assess the impact of budgetary decisions upon fleetwide material readiness for ships, cutters and aircraft.
  • Battlefield Simulations for the U.S. Marine Corps that measure the sustainment requirements for a company-level engagement with an entrenched enemy in urban terrain. The highly complex simulated battles included weapon round counts, mortality, fratricide and tactical analyses.
  • Cost Estimating and Logistic Planning for both the U.S. Navy and the FAA. Mathtech has developed independent cost estimates for the Navy's E-2C intercommunications system and for the gas turbine engine.
Mathtech has contributed to the basic understanding of the cost estimating process itself by examining and validating cost estimating methodologies and software, eventually recommending strategies that vastly streamline the overall process.

Communications Systems Group
CSG designs and produces intercom systems for the U.S. Navy's Advanced Hawkeye E-2C aircraft. (Click to download more information) Mathtech successfully developed a prototype and engineering design model versions of the new digital intercom system that can be used to retrofit the existing fleet. We are currently designing a new intercom system to be used in the model of the Hawkeye.

Our prototype solution offers a distributed digital approach that targets the specific requirements of the E-2C community. Navy operators and managers have extensively tested and overwhelmingly approved the model.
